Indianapolis International Airport keeps lounge options simple. There is one airline club in the terminal, plus a USO center for military travelers. If you have the right membership or credit card, you can duck into a quiet space with free food and drinks before your flight; if you don’t, it helps to know exactly where the options are so you can plan accordingly.

If you are comparing indianapolis airport lounges before your trip, here is what is actually available at IND.

Delta Sky Club: Location and Hours

The Delta Sky Club sits on Concourse A, just past the security checkpoint and before Starbucks, so it is easy to reach if you are flying Delta. The 4,800-square-foot club opened in November 2010 as IND’s first passenger lounge. Typical hours are Sunday through Friday 4:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday 4:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., though schedules can shift with the flight bank — verify times on Delta’s site before you go. Note the club generally winds down well before the last evening departures.

How to Get Into the Delta Sky Club

Access follows the standard Delta Sky Club rules: an annual Sky Club membership, select Amex cards such as the Platinum or Centurion when flying Delta, a same-day international Delta One connection, or a one-day pass when available. Entry is limited to a window before your scheduled departure. Inside you get complimentary snacks and hot and cold food options, a self-serve bar with complimentary house beer, wine, and spirits, free Wi-Fi, charging pads, computer workstations, satellite TV, and flight assistance. Travelers describe it as on the smaller side for a Sky Club, and it can get crowded at peak times.

USO of Indiana

Military travelers have their own lounge option. The USO of Indiana operates an airport center at IND offering military personnel and their families a place to rest and get refreshments while traveling. Access is free for active duty military, Reserve, and National Guard personnel and their families with valid DoD ID. Check the USO of Indiana for current center hours before relying on it.

No Lounge Access? Your Alternatives

There is no Priority Pass, Centurion, or other third-party lounge at IND, so if you don’t qualify for the Delta Sky Club, plan differently. The concourses have plenty of gate seating with power, the free Wi-Fi is excellent, and both concourses offer sit-down restaurants that make a decent work-and-wait alternative. If you are flying American or United, note that neither airline operates a club at IND, so your best move is to pick a quiet gate area, top off your devices, and use the terminal’s free connectivity instead.

Make Your IND Journey Easier with AirportGo

During your trip, search the airport directory for lounges, restaurants, gates, restrooms, and ATMs, follow step-by-step walking navigation straight to the Delta Sky Club on Concourse A, and keep an eye on TSA checkpoint times. After you land, the find-my-car feature uses your saved parking photo and location to walk you right back to your vehicle. It even works offline, so a spotty connection won’t slow you down. The app is available now on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
