Indianapolis International Airport punches above its weight for food. The single-terminal layout means most of the best options sit within a short walk of your gate, and the airport has made a point of bringing real Indiana brands into the terminal rather than relying only on national chains. Whether you want a proper sit-down meal, a quick local bite, or just a good coffee before boarding, there is something on both concourses.

If you need help finding indianapolis airport restaurants, coffee, and dining options, here is the guide.

Concourse A Dining

Concourse A has one of the most famous airport restaurants in the country. Harry & Izzy’s, the well-known Indianapolis steakhouse, serves its signature shrimp cocktail and New York strip near Gate A06, daily from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mobile ordering is available. Several national brands round out the concourse, including Starbucks and Shake Shack, and the airport has been adding new local concepts: Java House Bistro and Lift Off Tavern, a Daredevil Brewery gastropub, were both slated to open in Concourse A in late 2026.

Concourse B Dining

Concourse B leans into local flavor. HC Tavern + 1933 Lounge by St. Elmo pairs the famous St. Elmo shrimp cocktail with pub fare, open daily 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Nearby, The Farmers’ Market featuring Indiana Grown serves farm-to-table dishes made with Indiana products, near Gate B10, daily 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. You will also find Indiana brands like Sun King Brewery, Bub’s Burgers, HotBox Pizza, Social Cantina, and Tinker Coffee across the concourses. Note that Shapiro’s Delicatessen in Concourse B closed in late 2026 for a redesign, with plans to reopen in early 2027.

Civic Plaza & Landside Options

Before security, Civic Plaza hosts a handful of café and grab-and-go options, including Nature’s Table with healthy wraps, bowls, and salads (note: it is converting into Indy Eats, a rotating local-chef incubator, in early 2027). These are handy if you are arriving early, picking someone up, or meeting a non-traveler. Landside choices are thinner than airside, so if you have a long layover you will eat better past the checkpoint.

Hours and Dining Tips

Most terminal restaurants run roughly 5:00–6:00 a.m. to 9:00–10:00 p.m., but hours vary by day and by concept, and the ongoing concessions refresh means names and schedules can change. If you are on an early flight, grab food landside before the pre-security spots close; if you are arriving late, vending machines (including Farmer’s Fridge fresh-food vending on both concourses) are the most reliable overnight option. Check the current dining directory at ind.com before your trip, and allow extra time if you want a sit-down meal before a morning departure.

Make Your IND Journey Easier with AirportGo

AirportGo is built for the whole airport journey, not just the gate. Before your flight, use the packing checklist and trip tasks so nothing gets forgotten. During your trip, search the airport directory for restaurants, coffee, gates, restrooms, and ATMs, follow step-by-step walking navigation to your gate, and keep an eye on TSA checkpoint times. After you land, the find-my-car feature uses your saved parking photo and location to walk you right back to your vehicle. It even works offline, so a spotty connection won’t slow you down. The app is available now on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
