Left a jacket at the gate, a phone at security, or your laptop in a lounge? Orlando International Airport (MCO) runs its own lost and found — with two in-person offices. But the Terminal C office closes at 4 p.m. daily, so timing matters. Here is exactly where to go, what to file, and when to call someone else instead.
Lost & Found Offices and Hours
MCO’s lost and found is operated by the airport itself (the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority), with two in-person offices:
- Terminal A, Level 1 (Ground Transportation) — open 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. daily
- Terminal C, Level 1 (Ground Transportation) — open 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. daily
Important timing detail: items found in Terminal C are moved daily to the main office in Terminal A at 4:00 p.m. If you lost something in Terminal C after that cutoff, it may already be on its way to Terminal A. Travelers in the Central Florida area can pick up confirmed items in person.

How to File a Claim: Online First
Claims are filed online: MCO’s lost and found uses the Boomerang website (app.thanksboomerang.com) to process claims and returns. The airport charges no service fee for lost and found — and the airport explicitly states it is not affiliated with any company that charges a fee for locating lost items.
That means: if a third-party company contacts you offering to locate your lost item for a “locator fee,” that is not MCO. File directly through the airport’s official Boomerang link instead. Give the airport time to research your item once submitted rather than filing duplicates, which the airport’s page notes slow the process.

What Goes Where: Airline vs. Airport vs. TSA vs. Police
Not everything lost at the airport belongs to the airport’s lost and found. Report to the right place:
- Items lost on an aircraft — report to the airline, not the airport lost and found.
- Missing baggage — file with the airline directly, as directed on your ticket or baggage receipt. You can also file with the TSA, which handles screening-related items. (For carousel locations, see our MCO baggage claim guide.)
- Items lost at rental car facilities — report to the rental car company, not the airport lost and found. Counter locations are in our MCO rental car guide.
- Thefts — fall under the Orlando Police Department’s jurisdiction. Make a report by calling the OPD Information Desk, available 24 hours, at (407) 246-2470.
- Driver’s licenses — turned-in licenses (without other items) are automatically mailed back to the address on the license, so a lost license may resolve itself.
Is There a Lost & Found Phone Number?
The official lost-and-found page publishes no dedicated phone number — the Boomerang online form is the filing channel. The airport’s general customer line, listed on flymco.com’s contact page, is +1-407-825-3177 (reported as live-agent staffed 6:00 a.m.–midnight). For fastest results on a terminal item, file the online claim first, then visit the right office in person during its hours: MCO airlines and terminal guide can help you confirm which terminal holds your item.
Before, During, and After: AirportGo as Your Lost-Item Companion
AirportGo is built for the whole trip — not just indoor navigation. Before your flight, note the places you pass through; if you tend to leave things behind, knowing exactly which terminal, level, and gate area you were in is what makes a Boomerang claim matchable. During your journey, AirportGo’s step-by-step directions route you to the right lost-and-found office — Terminal A, Level 1 if you need the main office before 7:30 p.m., or Terminal C, Level 1 before the 4 p.m. daily move. After you leave, the app’s directory search can still orient you: confirm which terminal holds your item so your online claim and any in-person visit go to the right place.
