Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) runs its international operation through Concourse C, where a rebuilt Federal Inspection Station on the lower level replaced the 1992 arrivals layout in stages through early 2026. Pittsburgh now has three transatlantic routes plus Canada and the Caribbean, and the arrivals process is dramatically shorter than the old tunnels-and-train routine. This guide covers the routes, the arrivals walk, and Global Entry enrollment at the airport.

PIT’s International Routes

British Airways flies year-round to London Heathrow, daily in summer, on a Boeing 787. Aer Lingus flies to Dublin four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) on an A321LR/XLR, a route that launched May 25, 2026 as Pittsburgh’s first Ireland nonstop, running year-round with a January and February pause. Icelandair serves Reykjavik Keflavik seasonally, spring through fall. Air Canada flies to Toronto up to twice daily and to Montreal seasonally (daily, May 1 to October 15, 2026). American and Southwest add seasonal Cancun flights, American adds Saturday Punta Cana flights in the winter season, charter operators sell both beach markets, and Breeze has announced Cancun and Punta Cana starting January 7, 2027. The full network picture is in our PIT nonstop destinations guide.

Arriving: The New Customs Process

For flights without preclearance, the flow is: deplane in Concourse C, go through primary processing (document check with biometric and fingerprint screening and agricultural questions) in the reconfigured area that opened in February 2026, claim your checked bags on the dedicated international baggage system located between the primary and secondary areas, pass secondary screening if you are referred, then exit through the sterile corridor that opened with the new terminal, which delivers you directly to the new terminal’s Arrivals level, the Welcome Point, and the curb. The airport says curb time from international arrivals fell by nearly two-thirds compared with the old routine. Global Entry members and Mobile Passport Control users are supported in the new facility and can present ID digitally through the apps for faster primary processing.

The exception: passengers arriving from US preclearance airports, which include Toronto and Dublin, clear US customs before departure and arrive at PIT as domestic passengers, using the regular baggage claim; see our PIT baggage claim guide. Note that Aer Lingus’s Dublin route preclears in Dublin, so its PIT arrivals skip the Concourse C inspection entirely.

Global Entry Enrollment at PIT

PIT has a Global Entry Enrollment Center, and it moved with the terminal: since November 19, 2025 it sits in the new terminal on the Arrivals level, past Café Conmigo on the right as you walk in, toward the back near the international arrivals exit. CBP listings give its phone as (412) 472-0808. Current interview hours are set through the Trusted Traveler Programs site (ttp.dhs.gov), where you book and manage appointments; older guides listing enrollment on the ticketing level with Sunday-to-Thursday afternoon hours are describing the old terminal and are out of date.

Departing Internationally

International departures check in on the Departures level like everyone else; the airport advises arriving 3 hours before an international flight. There is no exit passport control in the US, so your flow is check-in, the single TSA checkpoint, the Skybridge, and your Concourse C gate (or wherever your flight is assigned; gates are shared and flexible). Premium passengers on oneworld carriers use the Admirals Club above the Center Core; see our PIT lounges guide and our PIT departures guide.

Plan Your Trip with AirportGo

AirportGo is built for the whole airport journey, before, during, and after your flight. AirportGo does not offer an indoor map of Pittsburgh International yet, so at PIT the app is your trip prep companion: keep your passport and Global Entry details noted in your trip tasks, build a packing checklist, and plan the extra arrival time international trips deserve. At airports where AirportGo maps already exist, the same app also guides you indoors from the door to your gate.
