Shopping at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is centered, like the food, in the Airside Center Core, and it has a distinctly Pittsburgh accent: Sarris Candies, a gift shop literally called love, Pittsburgh, and a local goods store named for the Duquesne Incline. The airside renovation refreshed about 20 concessions, so store lists from before 2025 are unreliable. This guide covers what is in the Core, what is in the concourses, and the few options before security.

Before Security: The Essentials

Pre-security shopping is deliberately small. The Departures level of the new terminal has a Hudson News and Gifts for magazines, snacks, and travel basics, plus the Camden Food Market next door for grab-and-go food. That is close to the full list landside: PIT expects you to shop after screening, where the choice widens dramatically.

The Center Core: Main Street PIT

The Core is where the Skybridge delivers you after security, and it is the airport’s retail heart. Start with the local names: Sarris Candies sells the Canonsburg chocolatier’s famous chocolate-covered pretzels and candy, the single best edible souvenir at PIT. Duquesne Supply Co. curates Pittsburgh-made goods, including Sarris and Tabbara chocolates and Pittsburgh Popcorn. love, Pittsburgh is the local retailer for city-themed gifts and apparel. Champion City Sports and Sportzburgh cover Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates gear. Around them sit the national and beauty names: Hudson, a renovated Tumi, and MAC Cosmetics.

In the Concourses

Concourse B has the standout specialty store: Hammer Made, a menswear shop that opened in July 2025, plus the usual newsstand and gift presence. Concourse A mixes shopping with its food and drink row (Penn Brewery, Wigle Whiskey’s tasting room, and the Gaby et Jules macaron kiosk all sell take-home Pittsburgh). Concourses C and D are quieter for retail, with concessions concentrated back in the Core, so do your souvenir run before you walk out to a C or D gate. Across the airport you will also find national staples such as 7-Eleven, GNC, InMotion electronics, Johnston and Murphy, Lids, and Sunglass Hut.

What to Buy: A Pittsburgh Short List

Short on time? The locals-first short list is: chocolate-covered pretzels from Sarris Candies, a Pittsburgh-made gift box from Duquesne Supply Co., a city tee from love, Pittsburgh, black and gold gear from Champion City Sports if the game matters, and a bottle from Wigle Whiskey in Concourse A if your bag has room and your destination allows it. Pair the shopping with a meal from the Core’s lineup in our PIT food guide, and note that The Club PIT lounge in Concourse C is the other way to spend a long layover; see our PIT lounges guide.

Shopping Strategy

Do the Core first. Because concessions were concentrated there in the renovation, the walk from the Skybridge landing to your concourse passes nearly everything worth buying, and backtracking from a C or D gate costs real minutes. Buy the fragile and the edible last if you are hand-carrying them through a connection, and remember that liquids like Wigle spirits follow the usual rules once you are airside: fine in your carry-on after purchase at PIT, but they count again if you exit and re-clear security anywhere on your itinerary. When in doubt, the chocolate belongs in a checked bag or a gift box you carry carefully, not in the security line twice.

Plan Your Trip with AirportGo

AirportGo is built for the whole airport journey, before, during, and after your flight. AirportGo does not offer an indoor map of Pittsburgh International yet, so at PIT the app is your trip prep companion: add souvenir stops to your trip tasks, build a packing checklist that leaves room for the chocolate, and keep your flight details in one place. At airports where AirportGo maps already exist, the same app also guides you indoors from the door to your gate.
