Set expectations before you plan a shopping stop at Akron-Canton Airport: the retail footprint is small, which is honest and fits an airport with nine gates. There is one real store, Shops on Deck, plus vending machines and grab-and-go spots. What the store does well is the local angle, with Ohio-grown and made products that make better souvenirs than a generic keychain.

Shops on Deck: The Main Store

Shops on Deck is the post-security retail store, shown near Gate 7 on the terminal map. Per September 2026 reporting, it offers locally grown and made products through Purplebrown Farm Store, custom apparel, and expanded grab-and-go options. If you want a genuinely local souvenir, this is the one stop to make: the Purplebrown Farm Store selection leans into Ohio products rather than national-brand filler. Because it is post-security, it serves ticketed passengers only; non-travelers need the Guest Pass Program to get airside.

Vending and Grab-and-Go

New ShopAll Fans and ShopAll Sound vending machines were added post-security, offering trading cards and electronics for last-minute needs. Grab & Go and vending areas are also marked on the official terminal map on both sides of security, so a snack or forgotten charger is never far. For the food and coffee options near these spots, see our CAK food and restaurants guide.

A Note on the Airport’s Shopping Page

Do not rely on the airport’s own shopping page for planning: it is a placeholder, and current retail detail comes from the dining page, the terminal map, and press coverage rather than a dedicated official shopping page. The facts above reflect that: Shops on Deck near Gate 7, vending post-security, and grab-and-go on both sides. Our CAK terminal map and layout guide shows where each sits, and the observation deck guide covers the sit-down spot between Gates 5 and 6 if you have time before boarding.
