Concourse C is the south concourse at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), with gates C2 through C29. It is CLE’s longest and busiest concourse — home to United, American, JetBlue, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, and Aer Lingus, including the airport’s only nonstop transatlantic flight (Aer Lingus to Dublin).
Airlines in Terminal C
Six airlines operate out of Concourse C:
- United Airlines – CLE’s largest Concourse C tenant, with service to its hubs (Chicago O’Hare, Denver, Houston, Newark, Washington Dulles, San Francisco).
- American Airlines – moved from Concourse A to Concourse C in May 2017 (gates C2, C3, C4, C5, C8, C10, C14), consolidating after its US Airways merger.
- JetBlue, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada – including Air Canada’s Toronto service.
- Aer Lingus – nonstop Dublin service, CLE’s only transatlantic route.

Getting to Concourse C: TSA Checkpoints
CLE has three TSA checkpoints, and the fastest route to Concourse C depends on the time of day:
- South checkpoint (closest to Concourse C) – typically open 3:15 AM–7:45 PM.
- Central checkpoint – typically open 4:15 AM–10:00 PM; your best alternative when the South checkpoint is closed or crowded.
- North checkpoint – opens 4:15 AM, operates on an as-needed basis.

Food & Drink in Terminal C
Concourse C has the strongest food lineup at CLE. Options by gate area (typical hours — airport restaurant hours change seasonally, so check before you fly):
- Great Lakes Brewing Company (near gate C14) – Cleveland’s own brewery; full bar and pub food. Typically Sun–Fri 5:00 AM–8:30 PM, Sat 5:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Bar Symon (Concourse C) – Michael Symon’s airport restaurant: burgers (try the Lola Burger), pierogis, and breakfast. Typically opens early morning, closes around 7:00 PM.
- Panini’s Bar & Grill (near gate C4) – sandwiches and drinks. Typically Sun–Fri 5:00 AM–7:00 PM, Sat 5:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Starbucks (near gate C22) – typically Sun–Fri 5:30 AM–8:30 PM, Sat 5:30 AM–7:00 PM.
- Potbelly Sandwich Shop (near gate C28) – convenient if your gate is in the high 20s. Typically Sun–Fri 5:00 AM–8:30 PM, Sat 5:00 AM–7:00 PM.
- Green Leaf’s salads & Bananas smoothies (near gate C16) – lighter options, typically open from 5:00 AM.
Lounges in Concourse C
- American Airlines Admirals Club – upper level near gate C4 (reported hours 4:00 AM–8:30 PM; day passes historically around $79).
- United Club – Concourse C (reported hours 4:30 AM–8:45 PM).

Restrooms & Services
Restrooms in Concourse C are located near gates C3, C8, and C17, spaced along the concourse so you’re never far from one. Concourse C connects directly back to the main terminal for ticketing, baggage claim, and ground transportation.
Tips for Navigating Terminal C
- It’s a long walk to the high gates. Concourse C runs to gate C29 — if your gate is in the 20s, build in extra walking time, especially with kids or tight connections.
- Eat near your gate. Food clusters around C4, C14–C16, C22, and C28 — don’t walk the full concourse for coffee if there’s a Starbucks at C22 near you.
- Use the South checkpoint for C gates when it’s open (until 7:45 PM); switch to Central for late-evening flights.
- Check the departure boards, not just your boarding pass — gate assignments in C can change, particularly for American and United.
