Fifteen scheduled airlines fly from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), plus two charter tour operators. All of them check in on the Departures level of the new terminal that opened in November 2025, pass through the same single TSA checkpoint, and depart from the four renovated airside concourses: A, B, C, and D. This guide lists every carrier and its usual concourse, with one important warning: PIT does not publish a fixed airline-to-concourse table, and gates are shared and flexible, so always confirm your gate on your boarding pass or airline app.

The 15 Scheduled Airlines at PIT

The airport’s current airline list is: Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Breeze Airways, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Icelandair, JetBlue, Southern Airways Express, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and United Airlines. Two charter tour operators, Apple Vacations and Vacation Express, also sell PIT departures to Cancun and Punta Cana, with flights operated by Allegiant.

One name is deliberately missing: Spirit Airlines. Spirit ceased all operations on May 2, 2026, and no longer serves Pittsburgh. Older websites and apps that still show Spirit at PIT are out of date.

Concourse A: Southwest and United

Concourse A is home base for Southwest Airlines, PIT’s largest carrier, and United Airlines. On a typical day Southwest flights use gates across the A1 to A19 range and United flights use gates in the A2 to A18 range. Sun Country is also associated with Concourse A in airport guides. Presley’s Place, the airport’s sensory room, sits just past Gate A7 in this concourse.

Concourse B: American and Partners

American Airlines anchors Concourse B, with flights using gates across the B1 to B20 range, joined by JetBlue, Alaska Airlines, and Southern Airways Express (the small carrier that flies to DuBois, Pennsylvania). Allegiant is also listed for Concourse B in airport guides. American’s Admirals Club sits on the mezzanine level above the nearby Center Core; see our PIT lounges guide.

Concourse C: The International Concourse

Concourse C handles PIT’s international flying. British Airways (London Heathrow) and Air Canada (Toronto) operate here, alongside Aer Lingus (Dublin) and Icelandair (Reykjavik) in season, and the Federal Inspection Station for customs sits on the concourse’s lower level. Gates in C are shared and flexible: even some Delta Connection flights to New York have departed from C gates. The Club PIT lounge and the USO Center are both in Concourse C. Our PIT international flights and customs guide explains how arrivals work here.

Concourse D: Delta and More

Delta Air Lines’ mainline flights use Concourse D, with gates in the D1 to D7 range on a typical day. Frontier and Breeze are also associated with Concourse D in airport guides. Concourse D holds the airport’s indoor post-security pet relief area. Dining and shopping are thinner in D than in the Center Core, so plan food before you settle at the gate; our PIT food guide maps out where the choices are.

Always Confirm Your Gate

Because PIT assigns gates flexibly and does not publish a static concourse table, the pattern above is a planning aid, not a promise. Check the airport’s live flight status, your airline app, or your boarding pass on the day. For where each airline can take you, see our PIT nonstop destinations guide, and for the building itself, our PIT terminal layout guide.

Plan Your Trip with AirportGo

AirportGo is built for the whole airport journey, before, during, and after your flight. AirportGo does not offer an indoor map of Pittsburgh International yet, so at PIT the app is your trip prep companion: save your flight details, build a packing checklist, and keep your trip tasks in one place so travel day starts organized. At airports where AirportGo maps already exist, the same app also guides you indoors from the door to your gate.
